2009-05-01 長篇詩『ごろごろ』を読む。
_ 吉増剛造の長篇詩『ごろごろ』（毎日新聞社刊）を，何日間かにわたって読み繋ぎ，ようやく今日，読み終える。
もともと吉増さんの詩は不思議な詩が多いのだが，この詩集はことのほか不思議な本だ。たまたま渋谷で大きな本屋に飛び込んだら，目の前に平積みになっていたので，自然に手がでてしまった。そのまま，喫茶店に行って人を待ちながら夢中になって読む。なにがなんだかわけがわからないのだけれども，どんどん読ませてしまうのは，いったいどういうわけなのだろう？ それが不思議だ。連続性があるようでない，ないようである，そういう文字が並んでいる。
大きな文字の詩のことばと，その行間を埋めるようにして，小さな文字の文章らしきものが連なっている。大きな文字だけを拾って読むこともできるし，小さな文字ばかりを拾って読むこともできる。どちらも連動しているようでいて連動していない。ときおり連動するかと思えば，まったく別の話が進行する。それでいて，全体的にはなんとなく，同じような雰囲気が流れていく。考えても，ほとんどなにも理性的には理解不能なので，できるだけぼんやりとした頭のまま，ぼーっとしながら文字を眺めていると，突然，なにかがひらめきはじめるときがある。そのときは，なんだか電光に撃たれたような衝撃が走る。
なにもわけがわからなかったところ（つまりは，暗黒の空）に稲妻のような光が走り，一瞬，あたりが明るくなる。が，あっという間に，また，暗くなりはじめ，もとの真っ暗闇の中に放り出される。そうして，その真っ暗闇のなかで働くのは耳だけ。詩を読みながら耳を働かせはじめている。そうすると，不思議や不思議，遠くの方から「ごろごろ」という音らしきものが聞こえてくる。それは雷さんの「ゴロゴロ」とはまるで別種だ。地獄の底の方から，はるか遠くの地獄の底の方から，音らしきものが響いてくるような「気」がする。錯覚かもしれない。しかし，なんとなく聞こえているような気がする。
そんな状態で，ぼんやりと文字を追っていたら，突然，「萌（もえ）の襲（かさね）」という文字が，ポツンと書いてあって，それが目に飛び込んでくる。なにかがわたしの頭のなかで蠢きはじめる。ことばの意味がはっきりとは理解できないのに，蠢きはじめる。「萌（もえ）」ということばが，まず，わたしの頭のなかで弾ける。「萌え出ずる」ということが連想され，そこから「萌（もえ）」に連なるイメージがつぎつぎに広がっていく。そうして一段落ついたころになって「襲（かさね）」ということばが，ふりがなの「かさね」とは無縁のところで「襲いかかってくる」。なるほど，「かさね」とは，つぎつぎに「襲いかかってくる」，何回にもわたって「襲いかかってくる」，このことのイメージと同じだ。
ということは，「萌の襲」とは，なにもないところから植物が芽ぶくように，なにかが「萌え出ずる」，つまりは，自分でもわけのわからないなにかのイメージが湧き出ずることが，つぎつぎに「襲いかかってくる」ことを意味しているのだろうか。それすら定かではない。でも，なんとなくそんな気がしてくる。とすると，「ごろごろ」とは，その「萌の襲」の音のことか。なにかが蠢きはじめるときの騒めきか。その音があまりに遠くから聞こえてくるので，ことばにするとすれば「ごろごろ」にしかならない，そんな音。なにかのアイディアが閃くとき，なにかの不安に襲われるとき，なにか自分ではない自分と出会うとき，なにか異次元から聞こえてくる音を聞いたとき，なにも見えない真っ暗闇に立ったとき，深い思考の中に沈んでいるとき，なにも考えないでぼんやりしているとき，見えないなにかが見えたような気がしたとき，突然，わけのわからない夢をみたとき，夢と現実がぼやけてきたとき，自分の存在をまったく忘れているとき，・・・・・，なにかが聞こえてくる。それが「ごろごろ」か。
こんなことを，ぼーっとしながら考えるともなく考えている・・・，いつのまにやら居眠りをしていることに，突然，気づき，われに還る・・・そんなことの繰り返しをしているときに，岡井隆のつぎの詩文が目に飛び込んできて，目が覚める。

この詩もまた，なにがなんだかわけがわからないのに，いきなりハンマーで後頭部を叩きのめされたような衝撃が走る。「帰国後」には参った。なんでもない前の２行のあとに，いきなり「帰国後」とくる。地獄の底，真っ暗闇に，うしろから「突き落とされ」たような恐ろしさが襲う。無限の宇宙に投げ出された，というべきか。宙づりである。このとき，はっとなにかが脳裏をよぎる。それがなにであるかはことばにならぬ。それが波状攻撃のように何回にもわたって押し寄せてくる。「ぐるぐる，ぐるぐる」，「グルグル，グルグル」，と。
