_ １０月２２日の朝日・朝刊に「柔道ランク制を正式決定」という見出しの記事が，スポーツ蘭のはじっこに小さく扱われていた。これを読んで，わたしは思わず「アーア」と大きなため息を一つついてしまった。
記事をかんたんにおさらいしておこう。
_ 国際柔道連盟（ＩＪＦ）は２１日に開いた臨時総会で，４大大会やグランプリ大会などの創設を正式に承認し，世界ランキング制度が来年から実施されることが決まった。
ランキングのもとになる大会が整備され，五輪優勝者には６００点，世界選手権は５００点の得点が与えられる。賞金については，ランキング上位者が参加するマスターズ大会には総額２０万ドル，グランドスラム（４大大会）にはそれぞれ１５万ドルなどと決まった。
五輪代表は原則，男子は２２位以内，女子は１４位以内に出場権。圏内に同じ国から複数の選手が入った場合は各国の裁量で代表を選べる。ランク外の国を対象にした各大陸枠も設ける。得点は１年ごとに２５％ずつ減少。４年間で得点の多い４大会を合計してランキングホイントにする。

わたしが「アーア」と大きなため息をついた理由はすでにおわかりだろうと思う。スポーツのグローバリゼーション。ＪＵＤＯに群がる金儲け主義。これで得をする奴がいる。富，権力，地位，名誉・・・。肝心要の選手は犠牲者だ。からだがもたなくなる。
その結果はどうなるか。ＪＵＤＯは体力勝負の世界になってしまう。技よりも戦略。攻めているふりを多用するＪＵＤＯの蔓延。
いささか結論を先取りしてしまった。
テニスのようなランキング制度の採用がＪＵＤＯに適しているかどうか。ここが問題だ。言ってしまえば，ＪＵＤＯの国際管理化。彗星のごとく現れる若い新人は，こんごオリンピックにはでられなくなる可能性が大となる。なぜなら，ランキングポイントを獲得するチャンスがきわめて少ないからだ。少なくとも，単純計算をしてみて，４年間の国際的な実績をもたないかぎりオリンピック選手にはなれない。
柔道がＪＵＤＯになって，すでに久しい。しかし，このランキング制度の導入によって，ますます，ＪＵＤＯが「無色透明な」ＪＵＤＯになっていく。もはや，柔道の精神のかけらもなくなってしまう。たとえば，「柔よく剛を制す」などという理想はどこかにすっとんでしまう。ひたすら「剛」のみが闊歩する世界になってしまう。ヨーロッパの近代論理がますますはびこり，「力」でねじ伏せるＪＵＤＯばかりが助長されていく。もはや，美しい「一本柔道」はますます遠のいて行ってしまう。
スポーツのグローバリゼーションとはこういうことだ。柔道のグローバリゼーションとはこういうことだ。（厳密にはもっと精細な分析が必要だが，ここでは省略する）
一見したところ「自由競争」の原理にのっとった平等で公平なシステムにみえる。しかし違うのだ。それは，いま起きているアメリカ発の経済危機をみれば一目瞭然だ。「自由競争」という名のもとに隠蔽されるものの実態をよくよく考える必要がある。しかし，それでも事態は少しも変わらないだろう。なぜなら，ブッシュ君の主張するようなまことに稚拙な「正義」論がドウドウとまかりとおる世界なのだから。
ますます「透明化」するＪＵＤＯを押し進めて行って，行くところまで行くしかないのか。そして，大勢の人が気づくまで「待つしかないか」ということになってしまう。
このことをハイデガーがつとに指摘している，と木田元さんは言う。竹内敏晴さんも「それしかないね」と応じる。なんともはや，展望の得られない時代になってしまったものだ。
だからといって黙ってしまってはいけない。言うべきことは言う。どこまでも主張すべきは主張する。この姿勢をなくしてしまったら，もう，生きてはいけなくなってしまう。『死に至る病』（キルケゴール）にとりつかれないように，ご用心，ご用心。
