2009-03-25 太極拳の基本の基本。
_ 札幌から瀧元君がやってくるということで，久しぶりに李老師のレッスンを受けることができました。
今日のレッスンでは太極拳の基本のなかの基本を，しっかりと教えてくださいました。
その一つは「立方」（あるいは，最初の立位の姿勢）。李老師から指導を受けるときに，いつも最初の挨拶から始まって，途中の表演まではいわゆる「面授」の形をとります。つまり，真っ正面から向かい合うわけです。その最初の向かい合った立ち姿が，いくら真似をしてもそうはならないので，不思議に思っていました。どこか違うのです。なぜか，李老師の立ち姿は，ぐっと，こちらに迫ってくるような威圧感があるのです。しかも，肩の力は抜けていて，両腕もぶらりとしています。なのに，どこかに力が漲っているのを感じます。まあ，言ってしまえば，立つだけのことですから，だれにもできるはずです。しかし，このかんたんな立つという姿勢そのものがどこか違うわけです。
たとえば，こうです。李老師が両足を揃えて立った瞬間から，姿勢だけではなく，顔も変わってしまいます。それは，まるで，別人のようです。姿勢は，肩の力が抜けることによって，両腕が下に下がっていくように見え，それと反対に顔の位置が上に上がっていくように見えます。つまり，ふだんの李老師よりも２〜３センチ，背が高くなったように感じます。のみならず，顔は一段とハンサムになってしまいます。とてもすっきりした，世俗の人ではない，まったくの迷いのない名人の顔になります。それでいて，悠揚として迫ってくるものを感じます。
このように立つにはこうするのです，と言って事細かに説明をして，何回もやってみせてくれたわけです。こんなことは３年間，レッスンを受けてきて，初めてのことでした。瀧元君がそれを何回も繰り返してやっているのをみていたら，いつのまにか，瀧元君の脚が震えはじめています。そして，「脚にきますねぇ」と李老師に尋ねています。「そうです」と，さも当たり前のような返事。これはえらいことになってきたと思いながら，わたしも必死で何回も練習をする。だんだんとそれらしくはなってくるのですが，やはり，最終的には李老師のそれとはまったく違う。さてはて，いったいどういうことなのか，と頭をかかえてしまう。とりあえず，とてもよく似た姿勢にはなります。けれども，どこか基本的なところが違う。
二つ目は，足の運び方。片足を前に踏み出して，その足に全体重を乗せて，後ろ足を引きつけて前に送り出す，ただ，それだけの話。ところが，たったこれだけなのに，李老師の足の運び方はどこか違う。こんな簡単な動作はだれにでもできます。なのに，まったく違うのです。これもまた悠揚として迫らざるなにものかが，たった後ろ足を引きつけて前に送り出す，これだけの動作のなかに籠められている，というわけです。じつに，ゆったりとした動きであり，軽そうにみえて重々しい，それでいて一分の隙もない，まことに味のある動作になっています。
これをことばに置き換えると，「股関節をゆるめる」「片足にしっかり体重を乗せてバランスをとり，安定させる」「お尻を巻き込みながら足を送り出す」ということになる。これらの一つひとつの動作が，李老師のそれとわたしのやるのとではまったく異なるのです。それはそれはまったく似て非なるものとしか言いようがありません。
しかも，困ったことに，この二つができれば太極拳の半分は習得したも同然だ，と仰る。それほどに大事なことなのだ，と。まさに，太極拳の基本の基本である。
さあ，困った。でも，李老師のお手本のイメージだけはあるので，あとは，ひたすら，そのイメージに近づけるための稽古あるのみ。
それにしても，久しぶりに李老師のレッスンを受けることができ，嬉しいかぎりである。また，明日から頑張ろう。
