2009-07-11 バタイユ主義者，だって？
_ 明日のトーク・セッションのことがやはり気になり，なすすべもなく仕掛け人の佐藤真さんのブログを開いてみる。
驚いたことに，６月２２日（月）に鷺沼の事務所で一献傾けたときの話がブログに書かれている。しかも，終わりのところに「ぼくよりももっとバタイユ主義者である」ということがわかった，とある。まあ，比較級（ぼくよりも）なのでいいか，とも思うがやはりここはひとこと申し上げておいた方がよかろう。
ひっかかったのは「バタイユ主義者」という言葉遣い。バタイユほど，「イスト」「イズム」を嫌った人間はいない，ということは佐藤さんだって百も承知のはず。にもかかわらず「バタイユ主義者」と書いた。それにはそれなりの意味があるはず。ただの，ありきたりの編集者ではない。松岡正剛の工作舎で鍛えられた名うての編集者のひとりだ。それがこんにちのポジションを獲得し得ている証拠だ。では，なにゆえに「バタイユ主義者」と言ったのか。自分がそうだから，稲垣も，ということにはならないだろう。わたしの感性でいえば，「バタイユ好き」と言われるのならば「はなまる」である。そのとおりだから。しかし，「イスト」と言われるとやはり相当に強い抵抗がある。
なぜならば，その理由は以下のとおり。
たとえば，バタイユがシュールレアリスムのアンドレ・ブルトンと意気投合して，新しい芸術運動を支持し，ともにその主張を展開したことは周知のとおりである。しかし，ブルトンが「シュールレアリスム宣言」を書いたとたんに，バタイユは「それは違う」とたもとを分かつことになった。つまり，「イズム」を鮮明にしたとたんに，その運動体は生命の躍動を失ってしまう。バタイユが求めたものは，あくまでも「差異ある反復」であったはずで，「差異なき反復」はこれまでの芸術運動と同じ，悪の再生産工場と化してしまう。だから，バタイユはさっさと決別してしまう。このとき，岡本太郎も一緒に，このシュールレアリスム運動のなかにいたはずなので，このとき，どのような行動をとったのか，知りたいところ。これはこれでまた別の問題。のちに，一度だけアンドレ・ブルトンとバタイユとの和解のときがあるが，それもすぐに解消。
バタイユという人は，つねに，なんらかの思想共同体を形成し，研究会なる共同体を立ち上げ，たえずみずからを叱咤激励することを止めなかった人だ。だから，つぎつぎに研究会を組織するのだが，すぐに解散する。たとえば，カイヨワなどとともに「社会学研究会」を組織して熱心に活動を展開するが，ほどなく，これも解散してしまう。その理由は，共同体が形骸化してしまうからだ。そうはならない研究会（共同体）を構築することはできないものかと，これほどこだわった人も少ないのではないかと思う。
だから，「バタイユ主義者」という言い方には，わたしは違和感がある。バタイユも同じように反応すると思うのだが・・・・。有名な話に，マルクスが，「マルクス主義者」ということばを聞いて，びっくり仰天した，という話がある。「わたしはマルクス主義者ではない」とマルクスが言った，という笑い話のようなほんとうの話。バタイユなら，「バタイユ主義者？ 会ってみたいものだ」と言ったかもしれない。これは単なるわたしの想像。
わたしは「バタイユ主義者」ではない。「バタイユ好き」である。なぜなら，バタイユほどに「バタイユ的」に生きることを放棄しているから。現代の日本の社会にあって，「バタイユ的」に生きることはできないから。かりに強い願望があったとしても，そうは問屋が卸さない。だから，遠巻きにしながら，バタイユの「エクスターズ」や「非−知」という概念に接近しながら，これまでの「知」の地平を切り崩していく可能性を探っているにすぎない。しかも，とても及び腰のまま。
かつて，バタイユは「わたしはニーチェの思想をそのまま生きる」と言い切った。その前に，ハイデガーは「わたしはニーチェの思想を引き継ぐ」と言った。バタイユは，ハイデガーの思想を徹底的にチェックを入れながら，しかも，ハイデガーのことばを意識しながら，みずからの全体重をかけて「ニーチェの思想をそのまま生きる」と言った。この違いを，わたしたちはしっかりと肝に銘じておくことが大事だ，と思う。
ハイデガーがナチスにからめ捕られてしまったその経緯と，その犯罪性をしっかりと見届けた上での，バタイユの思想家としての「生き方」の高らかな宣言である。そして，その「生き方」を死ぬまで模索しつづけ，同時に，著作として書きつづけていったのである。バタイユの思想や哲学に「終わり」（ゴール）はない。つねに，みずからの思想を鍛え上げ，練り上げ，終わりのない闘いをつづけていたのである。
「イスト」になることは，生きる上で，まことに楽でいい。なぜなら，「マニュアル」があるのだから，そのとおりにすればいい。そういう人たちが，少なくとも，あの７０年代の学生運動の展開のなかには多く見受けられた。だから，運動そのものが形骸化してしまい，情熱も方法論も枯渇してしまい，やがて，雲散霧消してしまった。そこを通過してなお，「わたしはなにをなすべきか」と問い続けつつ，活動をつづけている人が，ほんのわずかながらいる。その人たちの言うことにわたしは本気で耳を傾けたい。なぜなら，いまもなお，「差異ある反復」をしつづけ，自己変革をつづけながら，みずからの可能性を追い続けているのだから。
あえて，もう一度，言っておく。わたしは「バタイユ主義者ではない」と。「バタイユ好き」だと。言い方を変えておけば，「アルコール好き」ではあるが，「アルコール中毒患者」ではない，と。
