2009-04-12 『ミニマ・グラシア』が気になって。
_ 昨日も今日も，なにもしないで，ひたすら『身体としての書物』をめくっている。ひたすら，めくっている。
最初からとおして読むのではなく，ただ，ひたすら拾い読みを楽しんでいる。あっちへ飛び，こっちへ戻りという具合に。これがなんともいえない快感となって跳ね返ってくるのだから，この本は「すごい」と思う。もちろん，わたしの勝手な，一方的な評価ではあるが。
そんなことをして楽しんでいたら，突如として，「あっ」と気づくことがあった。ああ，この本は以前，今福さんから送ってもらった『ミニマ・グラシア』──歴史と希求（岩波書店）とリンクしている，と。あわてて，こちらの本をとりだしてきて，同じようにして，あっちをめくり，こっちをめくりしてページの間の自由気ままな放浪を楽しむ。
そこに入る前に，じつは，表紙の帯や表紙カバーの折り返しのなかに書かれているキャッチ・コピーに目が釘付けになる。以前も同じようなことがあった。が，こんどはいささか内容が違う。『身体としての書物』との連関のなかで，このコピーがまた別の色彩を帯びてわたしのなかに入ってくる。しかも，以前とは違った強度をともなって。
たとえば，以下のようなコピーからさまざまな連想が浮かんでくる。
私は，自分にとっておそらくもっとも倫理的な態度のもとに書き継がれてテクストを収めた本書で，自らの意思や欲望の饒舌な氾濫が沈黙とぶつかり合う真空のような領域にまで降りていった。私は重力が真空と触れ合うこの認識の狭い境域で，歴史を反歴史の水際から語ろうとしたのである。
ひとつは，「もっとも倫理的な態度」とはどういうことか。ここでいう倫理とは学校でいう倫理・道徳とも，医の倫理とも違う，別の意味であるはずだ。言ってしまえば，みずからが信じてやまない思想・哲学に照らし合わせて「もっとも倫理的な態度」を貫くことを意味しているはずだ。だとすれば，これこそが「批評」のよって立つ基盤となる。おそらく『ブラジルのホモ・ルーデンス』──サッカー批評原論，の立場も同じだ。わたしたちは，いかに「倫理的態度」というものを避けているか，あるいは，軽視しているかして，安易な「評論」（コメント）に流れて行ってしまう。その方がどれだけ楽なことか。
もうひとつは，「自らの意思や欲望の饒舌な氾濫」が「沈黙とぶつかり合う真空のような領域」にまで降りていく，ということはどういうことなのか。われわれは現代という時代・社会のなかに生をうけている以上，どうしても「意思や欲望の氾濫」のなかに身を委ねざるをえない。思考もまたこの現実と無縁ではない。言ってみれば，世俗の思考を，限りなく世俗から切り離しながら，世俗の淵まで「降りて」いくと，そのさきには「沈黙とぶつかり合う真空のような領域」が待ち受けている，と今福さんは言う。仮に，世俗が地球であり，生命が躍動する場であるとすれば，「沈黙」や「真空」のような「領域」とは，神が想定される宇宙であり，死の世界，と読み解くことができる。つまり，世俗と神，地球と宇宙，生と死，というものの境界領域であり，そここそが「歴史」と「反歴史」の「水際」（汀・渚）ということになろう。
ここまで「降りて」いくことによって，初めて，一歩もあとには引けない，ぎりぎりの「エッジ」に立つ思考が展開する，ここに「批評」の立ち位置が存在する，と今福さんは考えているのだろう。「インスクライブ」とはこういうことを意味しているのだ。
こんな発想がつぎからつぎへと湧きだしてくる。こうした発想を前提にして，ページの渉猟がはじまる。それはそれは楽しいこと限りなしなのだ。至福のときそのものだ。これこそが，今福さんのおっしゃる「ミニマ・グラシア」（最小限の恩寵）そのものでもあるのだ。こういう「出会い」を無限に開いてくれるかぎり，もう，なにもかも忘れて夢中になって「ページめくり」遊びがつづく。
最後に，表紙カバーの折り込みの内側にあるコピーを紹介しておこう。
生きることが，他のなにものかに集約されることであってはならない──。全体調和の歴史を打破するための支えはどこにあるのか。権力者の歴史的時空を切り裂いて溢れだそうとする未発の世界の尖端で，時は，身体は，そして記憶はいかなる像を結ぼうとしているのだろうか。
こういう文章に接すると，またまた，戸井田道三の『能芸論』を思い出してしまう。戸井田さんが声を大にして書き残した決めゼリフ「人びとを抑圧するような能面を人びとの顔から引っぱがし，コッパミジンに粉砕したい」と。まさに，１９４８年の敗戦後の荒廃した日本の情況に直面しながらの戸井田さんの絶叫のように聞こえる。

研ぎ澄まされた言葉は、本当にいろいろな思索を呼び覚ましてくれるものですね。表紙の帯のコピー「自分にとっておそらくもっとも倫理的な態度のもと・・・」もそうです。自らの倫理的な態度を根拠とする言説が、これまで不可能であった言論界を思いました。自らの倫理を根拠に論ずるなどというのは、「どこにその根拠があるのか？客観的な根拠は？」と言われかねないこともあるだろうなあ・・・と想像します。「倫理を根拠に」というのは、何と「エッジ」に自らをおいた言論の姿勢か、と思います。みずからそのものを「証拠」として、言説をつむぐ・・・そんな想像を絶する覚悟が感じられます。
